Grumpy Frog Farms has pastures raised chickens!
We get our chicks from a local hatchery and keep them in a brooder house for the first few weeks. This is to keep them warm until they grow their feathers. They are fed a high quality natural food from a local supplier that is free of antibiotics and growth hormones.
We then move them to their home in the pasture. They live in a cage called a chicken tractor. This is to give them shelter and protect them from predators. This cage gets moved every day so the birds have fresh grass and bugs to feed on.
Finally, we take our birds to a local processor that vacuum seals and labels them. Our processed birds are averaging 4-5lbs. Please contact us to reserve your birds today supplies are limited.
